Hi. I am a big fan of this blog. Thank you for leading it. To me, MCP will be an enabler of business models more than a business model unto itself. A few investment ideas come to mind to take advantage of the coming tide driven by MCP connectedness. That's for another conversation. It might be good to write about Winners and Losers given the MCP advancements. I am not suggesting actual company names, but rather spaces or categories that are emerging but could become unimportant.

Hi Andy -- Thanks so much for reading and for sharing your thoughts. I love the idea of a 'Winners and Losers' post; I'll add that to the queue for the next week or two!

Something I've found interesting is that there's also a thread running counter to the 'gold rush' mentality I wrote about in this post. In that school of thought, people are actively discouraging companies from building MCP servers because your company's app, user experience and brand are no longer defensible differentiators when using MCP. It's all about how fast the user can do what they need to do, and it's very easy for users to switch tools. In that world, a big differentiator / way you 'win' is by having proprietary data (especially vertical specific). When that's the case, the access mechanism doesn't matter - you're still the best, no matter what. But lots to consider here and plenty of other factors beyond just data. I'll do some more thinking & write on this soon; thanks for the input!
