Welcome to MCP in Context!
Introducing MCP in Context — a newsletter unpacking the Model Context Protocol.
Hi, I’m MB 👋
Welcome to MCP in Context — a newsletter exploring how the Model Context Protocol (MCP) works, how the standard is evolving, and what it means for builders, AI companies, and end users.
The name comes from the concept of a context window — the “working memory” of a language model, and the source of the “C” in Model Context Protocol.
MCP exists to give models more context — structured, relevant info from external tools; This newsletter exists to give you more context on how that ecosystem is developing.
The MCP has already changed how I interact with LLMs — and I expect that shift to accelerate as adoption grows and MCP-powered tools become more accessible to non-technical users.
I’ll be chronicling what we learn along the way — about MCP servers, about emerging use cases, and (occasionally) about ourselves — both here and over on Twitter/X.
Thanks for reading!
Best,
MB
P.S. If you have ideas from what you would want to see from MCP in Context or are building cool things with MCP, I’d love to hear from you!
Awesome stuff, MB. Excited to see where you take this project.
